we bought this house...wheni wrote that lette to one of the girls parents and she came over she was tugging the gilr back and forth..I was thinking she needs more then that...I'm afraid that one day one of my kids wont come home its scary...I dont want to treat my kids like a prioner of thier own home cuz they do need to go out in the soicety...what my kids needs is some defense class

Do they take a bus? Maybe you should drive them. I wonder why they are both being singled out likethat. You have two children right? A boy and a girl? I vaguely remember what you told me.

Or become the bus driver and be all like "come sit with mommy where it's safe honey." Don't drive them. Think of poor old Al Gore.

Forget defense class. Teach 'em to fight dirty. Speaking from experience, it pays to fight dirty instead of fancy.

All my gay friends will be proud of me.

On that line of thought..Why do we say that we have gay friends? Cant we just say we have friends and just leave it at that? I dont think Ive ever introduced a straight friend to someone and said "Hey this is such-n-such my hetrosexual friend".

We're still putting people in segregations. My gay friend, my black friend, my disabled friend..etc etc.

Thats a good question. I really don't know why I did that. I saw that that is exactly how I started my paragraph above in the other thread. And what is more intreresting is that I used to express that same thought as you in regard to friends who are african american. I never say "I have this black or white friend."

oh Belle I so agree with tht...and that goes for races too...why do newspapers say a black man did this or that or a white woman did this or that..why add the color...?? Who cares?...we are all just people, now if you want to say something about meeee...like..the wonderful, georgous, talented mum did this or that..it would be ok LOL

I always use adjectives like that. My idiot friend, my ugly friend, my... Well, I think we solved the mystery of my few friends problem.
